(1) Account Status. Accounts shall either have a status of active, temporary disconnection, or terminated.

(2) Active Accounts. Any customer receiving utility service to a property that is connected to the water and/or sewer system and not on any other status is an active account. Active accounts shall be billed the rates for water and sewer service in effect at the time such service is available to or provided to the property. An active account may be shut off from service by action of the district or by request of the property owner. Shutting off a water meter will not change an account’s active status.
